Daily Covid cases top 5k as Delhi, Kerala see sharp rise

India’s daily Covid-19 tally rose by more than 20% from the previous day, crossing 5,000 for the first time since September 22 last year, on the back of a sharp surge over the last few days in Kerala, Delhi and several other northern states such as Himachal Pradesh, Haryana and UP.
