Govt may push change in IAS-IPS rules, citing shortage of personnel

Amid a raging controversy, the Centre may go ahead with tweaking rules for central deputation of IAS, IPS and forest service officers, arguing the amendments are required due to an acute shortage of personnel to man key posts and also to deal with flagship schemes, national security and disaster management.
